The
Flip Flop Inn is located at 141 South Permuda
Wynd in the Village of Stump Sound in North Topsail
Beach, NC, on Topsail Island. The island is located
just north of Wilmington, NC. It's easy to find,
even though you'll probably get lost in the moment
once you arrive.
From
the South
From
Wilmington take US 17 North for approximately
24 miles. Turn right onto NC 210 (Lowe's on the
right) and stay on it approximately 5 miles. NC
210 will then intersect with NC 50 at a stop light.
Turn Right onto NC 50/210. This will lead you
across the swing bridge onto the island.
Once
on the island you will be in Surf City. Turn left
onto Island Drive (at Batts Grill). Follow NC
210 east to mile marker 11 and you will see the
Village of Stump Sound on the right. Take a right
into the village and a quick right onto South
Permuda Wynd. The Flip Flop Inn is the last house
on the left.
From
the North
From
Jacksonville, take US 17 south to NC 210 west.
Proceed through two stop lights (NC 172 and Old
Folkstone). Proceed across high rise bridge onto
Topsail Island. Bear right onto island and proceed
west.
Once
on the island you will be on Island Drive (NC
210). Go a few miles and just before mile marker
11 you will see the Village of Stump Sound on
the left. Take a left into the village and a quick
right onto South Permuda Wynd. The Flip Flop Inn
is the last house on the left.
From
the West
From
I-95 north or south you should take I-40 east.
This is probably one of the most boring stretches
of highway known to man, but it will get you there.
Take
exit 408 onto NC 210 East (Left Turn). Stay on
NC 210 all the way to North Topsail Beach.
Take
Highway 210 into the town of Hampstead. In Hampstead,
NC 210 will intersect with US 17 at a stoplight.
Take a left at the stoplight onto US 17 North/NC
210 East. Stay on US 17 approximately 8 miles
to a stoplight (Lowe's on the right) where NC
210 separates from US 17, take a right, staying
on NC 210.
After
several curves, NC 210 will intersect with NC
50 at a stop light. Turn Right onto NC 50/210.
This will lead you across the turn bridge onto
the island.
Once
on the island you will be in Surf City. Turn left
onto Island Drive/NC 210 (at Batts Grill). Follow
NC 210 a few miles to mile marker 11 and you will
see the Village of Stump Sound on the right. Take
a right into the village and a quick right onto
South Permuda Wynd. The Flip Flop Inn is the last
house on the left.
From
the East
Swim
(or take a boat) west until you see Topsail Island.
Locate North Topsail Beach and proceed towards the
Flip Flop Inn. Dry off and enjoy.
